I weigh 52 kg (115 lbs) and am 168 cm (5ft6in) tall. My BMI is 18.4 and my body fat percentage somewhere around 14%. My ribs show and my hipbones stick out. Should I put on weight? And if yes, what would be the healthiest way to do so?

That's bulls***. No matter how much you weigh, you deserve to be judged merely by your personality. One of the nicest person that I knew was heavier than you. It's your character that counts. Not your weight.
